Feeling satisfied with just Jesus.

Receiving some not-so-great news came to throw me all the way into the deep, sis- all the way into the hood, kinda deep. It looked ugly.

It was a warm January where we're at and I had no idea what was coming to me. I had that dreaded call and the news was dropped to me ever so casually. The news was only going to negatively impact me.

Let me not leave you in suspense for too long sis. The news was the declaration of utter rejection from my loved ones.

It made me question everything I had in Christ as that was the only thing I could turn to. My faith. My Jesus.

I had to come face to face with questions that I had never asked my heart before. Questions that would rock my faith entirely. One of the questions I asked was,"am I truly satisfied in You Jesus?" The answer was no. Needless to say, the Lord took me on what felt like the longest journey to get me to a place where, truly, utterly, hands-on-heart, I can say- I am just so satisfied with just my Jesus. I don't need anyone's approval of me, I just need Jesus (and my husband's approval too because that matters too, but that's a convo for another day!). I don't mean to keep you long here, I just wanted to pose that question back to your heart...

Sis, my dear beloved, are you truly satisfied with just Jesus? If not- what do you think is stopping you from being so?

I'll leave you with that. May the Lord hold your hand through whatever it is that brings you discomfort in this season of yours and may you know that Christ will always turn all things around, in good time, to make everything work for the good of those who love Him and those who are called according to His beautiful purpose.
